Queensland's first Finnish Lapphunds. One of the two foundation breeders in Australia.

Home to Australia's First Grand Champion -Grand Ch Staalon Bestseller (Imp Fin). Sadly deceased May 2005-far too young! Now we are home to Manu - Supreme Ch Lapinlumon Mundus (Imp Fin) who is Australia's first Supreme Champion and multi Reserve in Show winner.

We are the home to Riki - Supreme Ch Theldaroy Anyone Dare To Diffa ET who was Qld top Rising Star in 2011, and was from 2012 until October 2018, Australia's young Lappie Grand champion. (This standing has now been obtained by another outstanding dog.) He gained this at just 23 1/2 months of age. He gained his Supreme Chanmpionship less than 4 months later.

We are the breeder of "Blaze" - four time winner of the Melbourne Royal Best of Breed. We also are the breeder of "Riki" who is to date the only lapphund to have won Best of Breed at the Sydney, Brisbane and Melbourne royals in the same year.

Breeder of the youngest Best In Group lapphunds. Laani who also won Reserve in show at 9 months and Ollie who won Best in Group at 8 1/2 months and winner of 2007 Brisbane Royal Opposite Sex Puppy in Show.

All Lapphunds owned by us are health tested and DNA screened. Puppies are vaccinated, reared in our home, sold with veterinary health checks and ongoing contact with the breeder is highly recommended along with regular update of photos.

The Watersedge family has been involved in Show dogs for decades.
The first litter under the Watersedge prefix was born in 1996.
Our first Finnish Lapphund, Grand Ch. Theldaroy Wild Not Me (Laani) became part of the Watersedge family in February 2002.
Watersedge is still able to claim that we are showcasing Australia's youngest Runner-Up To Best in Show at All Breeds level. Laani is the first female in Australia to be awarded the title of Grand Champion, which she maintained for years.
Our first Finnish Lapphund litter was born from our first import in 2005. Ch. Fidelis Haltiatar (imp FIN) to FIN/LTU Ch. Fidelis Alias Amicus. Her brood of 6 have gone on to make their mark on the Finnish Lapphund breed in Australia.
Watersedge has produced several litters since then. We don't breed that often and when we do it is for a specific purpose.
We have been blessed with the first cream puppies to be born in Australasia and also some with more unusual colours and markings. We strive to breed typey, sound, healthy puppies and as such all of our dogs are hip & elbow x-rayed & scored, prcd-PRA tested clear & frequently undergo ACES eye tests.
Our puppies are all placed in homes with DNA confirmation of parentage & prcd-PRA clear status. Health results for the parents are readily available to puppy purchasers.
Our dogs are treated as members of our family, they are not banished to kennels. Our puppies are house reared.

Stumbling across the breed by chance in 2007, we never could've predicted the impact the Finnish Lapphund would have on our lives. They are more than we ever imagined in a companion and as a bonus love training; both for fun and for competition.
We attend conformation dog shows and train our dogs in Obedience, Rally-O, Tricks and do some Agility and Herding.

We've imported several Finnish Lapphunds to Australia, including our exquisite foundation girl Australian Champion and Neuter Ch. Lecibsin Sametti RN (Imp UK). "Summer" was born in Finland and raised by friends in the UK while waiting out the quarantine requirements for import to Australia. Her quality was recognised by both judges and breeders alike, here in Australia and internationally.

Our breeding predominantly utilises imported, frozen semen. We actively seek out under represented bloodlines and work with breeders overseas and here to preserve the health and a diverse gene pool.

We place our puppies in homes where they are well-loved family pets with owners who share our love for the breed and are fully supported by us. Some of these puppies go on to contribute to the future of the breed, creating a legacy for future generations.

We aim to breed a couple of litters each year so we can dedicate our time to ensure they're raised with the very best start we can provide.

Lumottu is the Finnish word for Enchanted and that is what sums up a Finnish Lapphund for me, Enchanting.

I fell in love with the breed in 2009 and have since added two into my household. Along with my dogs I enjoy my weekends attending conformation shows as well as obedience classes.

Zuleika is a boutique Finnish Lapphund kennel situated in Northern Tasmania. As our only breed, our dogs live in our home as part of our family, sleep on our beds, and enjoy two acres of rural land to frolick on. It wasn’t until 2009, after countless hours of research for a suitable working breed, and as if by chance, that I stumbled on a picture of a Finnish Lapphund. I began asking around and sent enquires and finally in 2011 I was blessed with my first Lappie Heidi. I’ve never looked back and since then, have added two more to my clan

Lappies have had such an amazing impact on my life and I hope to bring this same joy and love to many others in the future.

We don’t breed often and aim to keep our numbers at home small so each dog can have the love and attention they deserve. We are always looking for loving homes to help us showcase this amazing breed by offering a welcoming family and for some, by allowing their dog to contribute to the future of Ehana. Our dogs successfully compete in conformation showing as well as a number of performance sports. Theldaroy Great Expectations "Demi" is our first Lappie and she has the most beautiful temperament. Choosing to hang out with my grandmother whenever possible. Somewhat for pats but also for the noms that might be available.

Our first lappie encounter was in 2009, Demo entered our lives in 2010, and we have been hooked since.

We are home to nine gorgeous lappies here and abroad, some of whom we have trained within various disciplines including conformation showing, obedience, tracking, herding, flyball and agility (however their favourite activity tends to be having a cuddle on our bed).

Our dogs are shared between two homes, in Sydney and Brisbane, plus a number in co-ownership. We often attend shows and events around these areas, so feel free to shoot us a message if you are wanting to meet or learn more about this special breed.

We will be selectively breeding and aiming to produce structurally and temperamentally sound, healthy, typey and fit-for-purpose Finnish Lapphunds.

We place an extra importance on improving the health of the breed with thousands of hours spent on research into risk reduction and studying pedigrees. All of our dogs at home are DNA profiled and tested, eye tested, auscultation and echocardiogram cleared (heart ultrasound checked), hip and elbow x-rayed/scored, and vet cleared for breeding.

We have a litter due 26 May of 2024 between Ghost and Arctos, and we are now taking expressions of interest. We expect Cream, Black and Tan and/or Recessive Black puppies from this combination. I place most puppies with owners and families who live within 3 hrs of our farm in South East Queensland. This is broadly South to Byron, West to Toowoomba and North to Noosa. About us:

We were dog-free busy professionals for 20 years. Then in 2016 we realigned our priorities and bought an old farmhouse. Two gorgeous Lapphunds joined the family. We've never looked back.

This is a superb companion breed but definitely not for everyone: a well-chosen puppy would fit well into many different family and home settings provided you really know what you are buying! We hope to breed healthy, temperamentally friendly, sound, trainable and breed-typey dogs.

Deerlane kennels is based on the southside of Brisbane, Qld.
Breeding for quality not quantity. Our focus is on functional dogs bred for health, temperament and breed type.

We began our breed journey over 10 years ago, welcomed our first Lappie in 2016, and are now owned by 4 Lappies at home; Gryffindor, Ollivander, Ariana and Bloom. We also are lucky to have multiple Lapphunds in co-ownership locally, and 2 currently residing overseas that will hopefully join us soon.

All are involved in many sports/activities including conformation shows, herding, and lure coursing.
Our dogs are most importantly part of the family; living in our house, sleeping on our couch, going on holidays and always by our side. They make fabulous family dogs, taking everything in their stride.

All our breeding dogs are DNA tested for genetic diseases (PRA, DM, Pompes), CHEDS Hip and Elbow scored, ACES eye tested, and hearts checked by a cardiologist.
Dogs at stud are available to approved bitches with Stud Agreement.

We enjoy Conformation Showing and Agility - however our dogs are first and foremost a big part of the family. As we are a boutique kennel, we will only have one or two litters of puppies each year. Just like our dogs, our puppies are raised in our home. We are excited for our upcoming litter plans in late 2023.

We have been showing dogs for 30 years, including Malamutes and Australian Shepherds. We also enjoy competing in Agility, Obedience, Rally and Sled Dog Sports and like to keep our dogs active in mind, spirit and physical condition.
We are a small kennel in North East Victoria and only breed occasionally, when we are in a position to keep progeny for ourselves and hopefully improve on the quality, health and temperaments that we already have. All puppies are health tested and have a guarantee of lifetime support from us.

The enchanting Finnish Lapphund entered our lives in 2012 and we are very fortunate to have 4 beautiful Lappies that rule our world. We have, Lumi - Grand CH Armahani Diamond Davvir (ai) CD RA ADX ADO JDX GD SD SPDX WPD ET and his daughter, Tawnee - Grand CH Caleebra Diamonds Are Forever RN ADX JDX SD SPDX WPD.
We also have one of Tawnee's lovely kids Chaz - CH Polarpaws Black Diamond CD RA ADX JDX SPDX SD WNPD and the newest member, young Ellie - Aetozee Beverly Kills at Polarpaws

We consider Lappies an 'all round' breed, very trainable for most sports but their spitz temperament still shines through, which is what makes them special and at times challenging! Very talented and smart but also cheeky, naughty and super fun.

Aamurusko are home of NSW’s top Finnish Lapphunds - with the DOL breed winner (Salla), rising star (Sanna), and neuter (Loki) winners for 2023 all belonging to us. We are a small kennel but are fortunate to have incredibly beautiful, well adjusted, and successful dogs.

Aamurusko Finnish Lapphunds are located in NSW close to Canberra, and we are home to Loki, Salla, and her daughter Sanna. We also have two of our dogs in co-ownership homes, and a stunning import boy arriving from Sweden in 2024.

We fell in love with the breed several years ago. Breeding was a long term goal, and seemed like the natural progression of our obsession with the breed. They are an amazing breed - smart, gentle, loving, athletic and beautiful.

We are active in conformation showing, dog sports, and therapy dog work. We enjoy being involved in the NSW dog community and are always happy to have a chat and introduce people to our beautiful dogs. Our dogs are cherished family members. In order to provide each of them with the attention and quality of life they deserve, we will be keeping numbers small and will breed sparingly and selectively.

The care our puppies receive, and the support we provide our puppy families, is truly second to none. Our first litter are now spectacular young adults we are so proud of.

We aim to breed puppies that are true to type and fit for function - with a focus on health, structure, and temperament. We will likely next have a litter in late 2024.

We are a small dedicated kennel in West Brisbane & our Lappies are our family first!

Having worked in the veterinary industry for 10 years, we pride ourselves in extensive health testing, researched genetic compatibility and ongoing support. We value healthy, trainable, friendly dogs that are true to type and this is what drives our breeding program choices.

Hi, I'm Claire C.
Tirnacu from the Irish gaeilge "Tir Na Cu" means land of dogs. It sums up our home quite well, Its all about the dogs here. We are a small scale program.Our two girls Croia and Esky are predominantly much loved pets. Our Puppies are raised in the heart of the home and life centres around the dogs and pups.

We follow a ENS and puppy culture style raising plan and aim to produce well rounded confident pups ready to take on the world as wonderful companions.

I work as a Veterinarian and our dogs are fully health tested.
I am also happy to do meet and greets with my adult dogs for those interested in meeting and getting to know the breed. The homes our puppies move on to get backup for life and we would love to hear updates on their new lives with their new families.

We are located in North East suburbs of Melbourne. I first got involved in the breed in 2012 and have been hooked ever since! I have been involved in Conformation showing, Obedience and pets as therapy as well as a Professional Dog Groomer for over 10 years.
