Exhibiting and occasionally breeding since 1970, good looks, good health and true Irish Setter temperament are my priorities. For show or pet, puppies are bred from quality parents tested for known hereditary defects and raised in a family environment.
With nearly a lifetime association with these beautiful dogs, by selective breeding & importing Frozen semen we have successfully combined both Local & Imported bloodlines to produce over 50 Champions in Australia & overseas. We have exported Irish Setters that have been great Ambassadors for "Pendoric" & the breed to Europe, Sweden & Malta & the USA.
Licensed to judge Groups 1(Toys) Group 2 (Terriers) Grp 3 (Gundogs) & Group 4 (Hounds} also Group 5 (Working Dogs ) Non Sporting (7)& Utility(6) Groups ) we have been fortunate to judge in New Zealand, the USA, Israel, Holland & Indonesia & all states of Australia where we are able to keep an eye on the Breed regularly, Our breeding animals are all hip X-Rayed, TESTED and genetically cleared of PRA, Clad & Rcd4.
We have frozen semen stored from our top winning Irish.

At Eireannmada many of the outstanding bitches have never been campaigned but they continue to remain the keystone of the outstanding breeding program.
I take enormous pride in the fact that the key foundation bitch Aust CH Ballina of Irish Flame Imp Sth Africa now features in the pedigrees throughout the world.

During my visit to the U.K. and Crufts I saw the beautiful dogs that I wanted when I was a child. Pure U.K. and European bloodlines all PRA and CLAD free. House-bred puppies, wonderful friends.
Yarramo was established in January 1974 when Tony & Marg Norton commenced breeding & exhibiting Cocker Spaniels, but Marg's first registered Cocker Spaniel Bunyarra Sea Shanty was her 15th birthday gift from her parents in 1969. Tony purchased his first Gundog in 1971 a Labrador Retriever Donabee Duck Diver for his hobby of Retrieving.
Their love of Irish was always there with the introduction of their first Irish girl Ch Highperelle Clamity Jane in 1991. From this foundation girl they have many Australian Champions & to date 6 Grand Champions and 2 Supreme Champions.
Their New Zealand import NZ Grand Ch & Aust Supreme Ch Lanascol Kiwi Encounter (imp NZ), is back home after a short stay in NZ with his breeder Carolyn Cederman in 2008. He held Top Gundog for most of that year in NZ. HAKA is the FIRST & ONLY Irish Setter to hold both a NZ Grand Ch & Aust Grand Ch Title & now Supreme Champion. Haka is still the 'ONE & ONLY'!
His daughters (Dam: Aust Grand Ch Yarramo Lauda O'Malley) Aust Supreme Ch Yarramo Minerva & Ch Yarramo Nemesis are certainly a quality pair with Minerva gaining her Supreme Ch title on the same day as her father.
Yarramo breed purely for quality with only selected planned litters and to date have multiple Champions,Grand Champions & Supreme Champions from each litter. Their lines are PRA and CLAD free.

I was involved in Obedience at a very young age with my Grandparents running an Obedience club and then showing in the 70's when my parents showed Cocker Spaniels and Irish Setters ...
I got my first Irish Setter in 1985 and have been hooked ever since ....
Breeding and showing Irish Setters since 1985. We have bred 55 champions, 10 of these dogs have gone onto Grand Championship titles and 3 Supreme Champions in the Martinridge prefix. We have titled 6 other Irish with two becoming Grand champions. All breeding dogs are Hip x-rayed and graded, elbow x-rayed and graded and our dogs are also PRA and CLAD clear. We believe in breeding sound healthy dogs of correct breed type and temperament.
Our dogs are bred from the Top Bloodlines from around the world.
Many of our dogs are Best in Show winners at both All Breed Shows and Specialities.
Our Martinridge prefix appears in many of the Top Dogs pedigrees around the world.
Above all we love our dogs and they are a big part of our family and lifestyle.
From a very limited breeding program, Gwyndara Irish Setters have made an impact on both sides of the Pacific with Gwyndara Irish producing in excess of 30 American Champions to date. American Ch. Gwyndara Southern Cross (Imp. Aust.) has the honour of being the only Australian Irish Setter to be on the Irish Setter Club of America's Register of Merit for having produced a minimum of 20 American Champions.
In Australia Gwyndara champions and grand champions have won at every level of the sport. We salute Ch. Gwyndara Who's That Girl who produced 15 champions, including 4 Grand Champions and 1 American Champion and we enjoyed watching her great, great grandson win Best in Sweepstakes, Reserve Winners Dog and Best Puppy in Show at this year's Irish Setter Club of America National Specialty at 6 months of age.
We don't breed often and when we do, we breed for quality - healthy and beautiful Irish Setters. Our dogs carry the rare bloodlines of traditional working setters and are highly intelligent, genetically tested free of CLAD and PRA and would suit any chosen dog activities.

We are a small 'boutique' kennel breeding for temperament, type, soundness and movement, but always mindful of the glamour factor.
Tryst one of our foundation bitches was a very special Irish - winning Bitch of the year in 2006 and again in 2012- combining a unique blend of USA English and Australian bloodlines, she possessed a lovely temperament, movement to die for and the most beautiful expression. We are committed to preserving the true temperament and type of Irish Setters.
Puppies are available from time to time from our lovely Australian Champion girls.

I have been Exhibiting the beautiful Irish Setters since 1997. The Irish Setter is breed for soundness, agility, temperament and Health. I have breed and shown 3 Australian Champion (Northern Territory and Victoria) and 1 dog in obedience (Sydney), also imported from the United Kingdom.

Established since 1972, Amhurst lines incorporate the world famous Wendover breeding, making our dogs over 80 years line bred. The last 8 years has seen the infusion of Swedish breeding from their leading kennel, Copper's Kennel,winner of the Bitch CC at Cruft's 2012.
Breeding occasionally, we strive to always improve the breed, and follow the standard Australia should adhere to, the English standard.
Our puppies are brought up in a home environment, and all of our adult dogs, run free together as a happy and harmonious group. Temperament is paramount in our wonderful breed.

Having been an international judge for at least 20 years, I am lucky enough to see Irish Setters in all parts of the world, which has enabled me to incorporate imported dogs into our gene pool.

I have owned and loved UK type Irish Setters since 1988 when I got my first two Irish Setters from Rhuboda Kennel in Brisbane, Queensland and bred my first litter in 1992. Since then I have owned Irish Setters from a number of Australian kennels.
In 2010, I imported Millcroft Moon Dreamer "Bridget" from the long established Millcroft Kennel in Gloucester, England.
2013, saw Chepauryll's long awaited dream come true with our litter from Bridget on the ground. 6 lovely pups, 4 girls and 2 boys.
In December, 2013 the exciting arrival in Australia of another lovely Millcroft from UK - Millcroft Fly Over the Moon "Flynn". He is a fantastic addition to our kennel and he has been used at stud to a number of bitches and had a wonderful Reserve in Show at the Setter Club of Queensland's Specialty Show in 2019.

I had been away from DogzOnline for some time now. I am from California moved here in June 2003 brought over 4 dogs with me to show. They are all round dogs, conformation, field, obedience and agility also therapy dogs. They have a wonderful temperaments and lovely expressions. All have since passed over the rainbowbridge, their puppies have had litters and the US bloodlines are still very strong.
I am still am a member of the Irish Setter Club of America, Irish Setter Club of San Diego, Irish Setter Club of Southern California, and The South Bay Kennel Club. And in Australia Coffs Harbour Kennel Club.

Established in 2018, Ellerby has been working with some well respected and responsible breeders across Australia to breed better purebred dogs.
We currently have 2 dogs on the show team, both proving exceptional in the ring.
Australian Champion Eireannmada Oh Carol shines in the ring and completed her championship title in a mere for weeks with multiple class in group awards.
Ellerby One of These Days is new to the team and will be making her proper debut Mid 2024.
Ellerby is a huge advocate for the Irish Setter and always available to talk red heads.
I have been involved with Irish Setters since the 1970’s when I had my first Irish puppy. I love this breed and would be happy to talk Irish Setters at anytime.
Health of our puppies are very important and so all parents are hip scored and are genetically clear of PRA and CLAD.

Our love affair with Irish Setters started in the late '70s when we first began showing and breeding these glorious dogs.
The Irish is arguably the most beautiful of breeds, and ours have always been known for their good looks and racy personalities.
Our dogs are bred for soundness, for conformation, and for looks, but most of all for temperament.
We are now back in the ring with our latest champion Eirean It Had To Be You AI. Our Rosy typifies the best of the breed - she's loving, with a wonderful temperament. She's full of spirit and grace, and her free and open gait makes her a pleasure to watch. Awarding her at the most recent specialist Setter Club show, Judge Mr Kim Meyer had this to say about Rosy.
"Lovely feminine bitch. Gorgeous head and expression. Holds her topline on the move. Correct dentition. Compact and strong in loin, good rear angulation. Everything about her just flows."
Last year we mated Rosy with the fabulous Supreme Champion Fantango Red Bull (aka Wings), a multi best in show and best in group winner.
Their puppy, Australian Champion Carlowa Scarlett Rose AI, is already showing the grace and style of her sire and dam; Scarlett has won numerous In Group and In Show awards, and achieved her Australian title while still a minor puppy, under breed specialist Ester Joseph.
Another litter from the beautiful Rosy is expected later this year.
I bought my first Irish Setter fifty years ago, and have rarely been without at least one since then. I currently have three females QUAILBANDERS DARCY ODEA, LINDERRY MOLLY ODEA and LINDERRY FLIGHT OF FANCY and one male LINDERRY AIDEN. I have had two litters from Darcy who is now retired, and will now be breeding from Molly, and Flight in the future. All are field breeding, Darcy being 100% imported European blood lines and Molly and Flight 50% as is Aiden.
Irish Setters have been my choice of companion because they are wonderful family dogs, with affectionate and exuberant personalities, active when playing and exercising but also quiet family members happy to relax at home with their people.
**Molly has just been bred and will have an ultrasound at the end of February to confirm her pregnancy. *** Molly's pregnancy has been confirmed and the puppies are due early April.
I am now taking bookings with considerable interest being shown.
Molly is an exceptional girl, affectionate and very clever. She loves everyone she meets and charms them with her happy outgoing personality. She is a wonderful example of the Irish Setter, and her puppies will have the same endearing traits.
Our puppies are born and brought up in the house so they are part of the family and will fit into their new families with the minimum of fuss. They are used to all the normal sounds and movement, tv, vacuum, kitchen appliances etc. They are also familiar with our cat and are introduced to our horses.
I started my involvement in the dog world with my first Irish Setter in 1973.
I have continued to breed and successfully show Irish Setters for the past 48 years under the Lanascol prefix - now having 9 NZ Grand Champions (a New Zealand Grand Champion requires the dog to have 50 Best Dog or Bitch awards plus 3 Best in Show All Breeds).
3 of these have gone on to become Supreme Champions since the award was introduced here.
Over the years I have also imported a number of Irish Setters to help with my breeding program.While not breeding as often now I do have the occasional litter.
