Barokamurray Beatingroundtbush-Bea is a Murray River Retriever an Australian Landrace breed. Used as a working Gundog along the Murray River and further afield in Australia since the 1800's. Eligible as an ANKC pedigree breed since January 2022, I am delighted to be involved in getting the Murray recognised as the only Australian developed Retriever/Gundog. Bea began her show career on April 2 2022 at 4 months by winning Baby of Breed and then Baby in Group over 11 other babies. Bea shows all the qualities of the versatile Murray River Retriever breed, She has high retrieving instinct, is an able swimmer, a quick and willing learner and is full of energy and enthusiasm. Bea gained her Australian Championship title on July 9 at 7 months the first MRR female to do so. She's been recognised by Australian and International Judges with Best of Breed and age classes in group; 2 Baby, 4 Minor and 1 Puppy; Junior; Intermediate and Australian Bred in Group by 19 months. Bea has also competed in RATG trials and shows bidability and instinct. She will trial in Retrieving and Rally Obedience as she matures. Bea is also a Medical Alert Assistance Dog and training in Public Access settings. Bea has DNA and Hip/elbow health clearances and was bred to CB Murray's Hunter late 2023 with 12 pups born December 9th.
