Aust Ch Maggiormente Strega
What makes this particularly sad for us is that she was one of the best moving Neapolitans around, an exceptionally athletic lady.
Strega was the only girl in our first litter. She won "Best Bitch" and Runner-Up in Show at Australia's first Neapolitan Specialty Show at only 20 months age, beating her brother Pavarotti, who went on to become Australia's first [and only] Grand Champion Neapolitan. She is survived by her boys Aust Ch Maggiormente Enzo and Maserati [Louie] in Victoria, Buggatti at Bowral, and daughters Aust Ch Maggiormente Vesta with us, and Befana at Nowra.
In Italian, Strega's name means a beautiful, but bad witch, who seduces men to get her way, a woman you lust after or run away from.
She was a true to type Neapolitan, who's expectation was respect, and if given, was instantly returned.
Strega, where you are now, the rabbits can't dodge quickly enough, the kangaroos can't jump far enough, and the boys can't run fast enough. Run, my love, run. Run!
