During 2008 Thor concentrated on performance events (and during that time actually grew hair!) and earnt his TD and TDX with Tracey Edgell in quick time. He also managed to collect his HSAs by finally controlling his manic enthusiasm for stock.
In 2009 Thor became a Dual Champion; earning his Tracking Championship mid year and finishing his show title in August. During this time he also earned his Herding Startd A & B titles on ducks proving his versatility.
In 2011 Thor became a TRIPLE Champion; earning his Herding Championship among a plethora of other herding titles during this year. My thanks to Trudy Viklund (USA) and Lynn Leach (Can) for their invaluable herding training for this awesome breed of dog! in 2011 Thor gained his Herding Advanced titles on two courses (A & B) AND two types of stock (sheep and ducks). He also became the very first dog in Australia (of any breed) to earn his Intermediate A title on cattle (what a buzz). He ended the year taking 3rd place in a very large Aust Bred class under Aussie enthusiast Mr S Dainard from Canada!
UPDATE 2014 - Thor continued to move from strength to strength in the herding field being awarded a Grand Herding Championship for his consistently high performances on A course sheep. Thor remains the only dog in Australia with an Advanced Cattle title. He followed this up with a Versatile Herding Champion by earning a Herding Ch on both A and B course. Thor placed 3rd in a strong veteran dog class at the 2013 ASCV Specialty show under senior breeder judge Nannette Newbury (USA).
His pups demonstrate the same great aussie type, enthusiasm and herding ability as their dad. Thor is available at limited stud after intensive discussion regarding his strengths and his faults. If you want intensely trainable pups then this dog has what it takes to give it to you!
2015 Thor added a TSDX to his impressive list of titles - 28 individual titles!
