May 2010, Basil completed his 20km Endurance Test with ease - his heart rate and temperature following the run were both less than when he was vetted prior to commencing it!!!!
After nearly 18 months in the United Kingdom, which included a trip to Crufts 2008 where he was awarded 3rd in a class of 17, 'Basil' returned to Australia and continues to do us proud!
‘Basil' made the occasional appearance at shows during 2009 and continued his ‘winning ways’, gaining well over 150 CC points in less than 10 weekends of showing....not bad for a dog that was only there to keep his ‘mum and sisters’ company. Highlights included two Best in Groups (Group 1) and a Runner up in Group (Group 2)....
Having achieved Basil's 'ET' we will now focus on his Obedience skills and build upon the start we made in the UK where he was awarded The Kennel Club Canine Good Citizen Bronze Award (not bad for a Beagle!!!!)
