After waiting from the time his mother was mated, "JJ" arrived in Perth on Wednesday 24th February 2010. He spent 30 days in quarantine at Byford Quarantine Station and came home to us on Friday 26th March 2010.
He has settled into our house like he has lived here all his life. Everyone that has met him has commented on his great conformation and his stable & outgoing temperament. He lives in harmony with our many cats, Boxers and our French Bulldog who is the real "top dog" in our house.
"JJ" is vWD Clear and has had other health testing done (including a clear result heart holter monitor), Hips OFA Excellent, Thyroid, Kidney, Liver functions are all normal. "JJ" is also negative by parentage for ONE of the genes known to cause Heart issues in Dobermanns. JJ is also N/N Normal (Does not possess the disease mutation - normal, unaffected dog) for Dings.
"JJ" has an attitude to die for and is all male.
"JJ" titled on mainland USA at under 18 months of age and in limited showing. He then gained his Canadian title in a short period of time.
"JJ" has sired numerous Australian Champions, including 4 Supreme Champions (2 are litter mates), from limited stud work (his oldest progeny are now 7 years old). These offspring have been awarded multi Best In Group wins and 5 are multi Best In Show winners and Specialty Best In Show winners. He has several more pointed progeny closing in on their titles. He also has numerous champion grandchildren, which includes BIS winners, with others starting to make their marks.
He was still going strong and showing no signs of slowing down at over 10 years of age when he was diagnosed with kidney disease in April 2018 and after trying various treatments, the decision was made to free him from pain.
