You could be excused for wondering if Peter Newman and Barry Day were looking into a crystal ball when they named this dog. Or as is more likely the case, they simply recognise the quality they produce.
Certainly a Rather Special Risepark that not only stole the show each time he entered the ring, but also stole the hearts of his owners, handlers, groomers and anyone who spent time with this Special boy.
A Multiple Champion producing Sire, Eric was undoubtedly a dog whose significance in being imported into this country will continue to be legend for many years to come. A RUBIS and Multiple Group winner, during his short show career Eric was without peer in our breed and at breed level was rarely if ever beaten. At over 6 years of age and after over a years absence from the ring at Castle Hill under Judge Hugh Gent OAM, Eric made one final appearance. Much to the disappointment of his detractors, who that day were left eating their words, Eric once again showed his flawless movement and sound confirmation to win his last Best of Breed.
