Judge Profile

I have been involved in showing dogs since 1978. Commencing with Standard & Miniature Long Dachshunds with my mother under kennel names Marandoo & Vicshlein. Over the years we produced many champions consistently winning in a time where there were many more dogs being shown.

I competed in the Junior Handler competitions and through this I fell in love with my current breed the German Shepherd. I was the first junior to represent Australia in the Junior Showmanship competition at Crufts where I finished in the top 3.

Through owning and handling various breeds over the years I have gained an appreciation for soundness and quality, which I apply when assessing a dog.

Now having been involved with German Shepherds since the 80’s, I have successfully shown and won many impressive awards with my current and past GSD team. Under my kennel name Wyngarah I have produced State Breed and National winning youngsters, champions, and consistent winners group winners with only a few litters.

In 2021, I commenced the journey to becoming a Working Dog Judge and to date have enjoyed the experience immensely.
