Started out in the Dog World in 1966 as a Junior Handler, exhibiting my parents Samoyeds. As a child we also had a Dachshund and a Labrador Retriever. Titled my first Champion (Samoyed) when I was 12 years old, and had my first All Breeds Best in Show winner at 15. Registered my own kennel prefix, "Sunmist" in 1977, exclusively breeding Samoyeds. Have handled Standard Poodles, Afghan Hounds, & Irish Setters for other Breeders. Gained my Samoyed Specialist licence and have judged Specialties in Nth & Sth Island of NZ, SA, and Victoria. Judged the World Samoyed Meeting Show in Estonia in 2019.
Lived in Queensland until 2013, then retired and settled at Beaconsfield just north of Launceston, Tasmania.
